Dj Aloes A(nne)loes dances since her childhood and loves many different kinds of music. Dj-ing arised naturally out of her own dance, out of her teaching dance and her passion for music. Her background is 5 rhythms, dance expression, integrated dance, and movement medicine, etc. She is one of the members of the World Dance team since 2007 and also dj’s at other dance evenings, festivals, private parties, etc, etc…. She is happy to cocreate Resodance: a cooperation with music group Cantaluz, where live music and dance are improvised and dancers can resonate on the music by moving and using their voices. This you can experience at World Dance also a few times a year. What music plays dj Aloes? Joyful, with a certain power en depth is the essence. She doesn’t want to commit to only one style, but adventurous world music comes the closest. She focusses on music from everywhere on the planet, sometimes you hear only real instruments, sometimes electronic instruments and sometimes both. She plays: percussion, cross-over, fusion, voices, soul, jazz, latin, folk, funk, trance and surprising music. Also she plays music as mantras and songs that can touch the heart. Her preference is more unknown music (but not less danceable) or more well known music with a timeless spirit.
